Led by Flat Creek Estate owner Eva Horton, we are transforming what has been described as the most beautiful 80 acres in all of Texas. Eva’s background in real estate and retail and her radiant personality have been the guiding influence of Flat Creek Estate’s transformation. With a focus on exceptional experiences and warm customer service, Eva’s leadership shines through each aspect of Flat Creek Estate.
Eva Horton, partner for Post Lake Capital Partners, is responsible for investment sales, private investors, and special asset servicing entities. She joined Newmark’s Atlanta office in 2008, and she currently serves as a managing director in Texas, as part of the firm’s capital markets group. In addition, Horton works closely with clients on new land development and mixed-use projects, as well as adaptive reuse opportunities.
Horton began her career in 1993, with J.E. Robert Companies/Goldman Sachs, JV, in Dallas, Texas, focusing on the liquidation of the RTC portfolio and the disposition of REO properties. In 1995, she was recruited to manage the commercial department of a lawyer’s title subsidiary company and directed the expansion of eight additional offices within two years. Her experience included working with retail and office developers and income-producing properties, such as retail, office, hotels, and special-use projects. Her unique method of working closely with the development process, entitlement details, and overall obstacles within a transaction created long-lasting relationships with local and national developers of all sizes.
Jean’s experience making wine around the world made him the perfect partner for Flat Creek Estate. Working with winemaker Bob Wonacott and the entire Flat Creek Estate winemaking team, Jean lends his expertise to farming practices, production procedures, and final blending. The goal of creating world-class wines from a world-class estate is what the team strives for on a daily basis.

Sometimes “accidents” lead to what’s truly meant to be. Such is the case with Flat Creek’s Chef Kristy. It started storming one night while he was backpacking in Hawaii – and Chef Kristy walked into the nearest restaurant. He quickly discovered the only person there was the cook. The two struck up a deep conversation, helping Chef Kristy to realize cooking offered the kind of lifestyle he wanted as well as an opportunity to showcase his creativity to others. After that, Chef Kristy worked his way from a server in a restaurant, up to chef – and now head chef here at Flat Creek. Our 3-course pairing meals are the product of his ingenuity and talent, and everything he makes is worthy of high praise.
Two things are at the heart and soul of what we produce: amazing wine and incredible experiences. Both begin with our 80-acre estate of quintessential Texas Hill Country land.

Our varietals include:

- Tinta Cao
- Touriga Nacional
Whether it’s our North American Butterfly Association-certified butterfly garden, our miles of walking and hiking trails, or our commitment to sustainable estate operations, we’re committed to keeping our 80-acre estate in pristine condition.
In addition to rolling hills, lush with native trees and planted vines, our estate includes: an elegant tasting room, a full-service restaurant, a covered pavilion, and Vintner’s Quarters.
Designed by the renowned John Houck, our one-of-a-kind, 18-hole disc golf course weaves its way through the rows of vineyards, over water features, and around our hospitality spaces.
